With its new responsible logistics vehicle, Stuart delivers groceries<\/strong> from shops such as Monoprix<\/a>, Auchan<\/a>, Carrefour<\/a> et Naturalia<\/a>. Each K-Ryole carries between 600 kg and 1 metric ton per day!<\/strong><\/p>\n

“PickUp Logistics<\/a>, is the last mile grocery delivery company<\/strong>. At the beginning of the adventure, a year and a half ago, our Saturday delivery peak had 180 vans on the move. Today, for the customer’s demand for green logistics, we have developed pedestrian and electric K-Ryole trailer delivery. As orders continue to grow, we have a maximum of 20 vans on the road; the rest are delivered by 54 K-Ryole<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

How was the transition of the logistics from van to K-Ryole?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

“At first, the deliverymen were not willing to stop delivering by vehicle<\/strong>. Indeed, it is a big change to go from a van to a bike. However, after three weeks of use, they were won over<\/strong>. Thanks to bike logistics, operational staff no longer have problems with traffic and parking<\/strong>. You can’t imagine how many delivery drivers became unemployed due to the loss of their licence points\u2026”<\/p>\n

Why did you choose K-Ryole over an electric Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV)?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
\n

“Simply because the electric LCV does not meet our needs<\/strong>. First of all, it’s complicated to recharge. Secondly, it does not address the growing difficulty of getting around in major French metropolises<\/strong>. In operational terms, when you don’t exceed three kilometres, it’s much more advantageous with a K-Ryole. By the first quarter of 2021, we will have a fleet of over 150 K-Ryole electric trailers<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You believed in the K-Ryole project very early on, even though the product was not yet fully developed for the field. Why did you take this risk?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

“We wanted to be the first to benefit from new technologies<\/strong>. By creating a partnership with K-Ryole, we were sure to develop a win-win situation. That is to say that by using them in the field, we were meeting the needs and problems of the market<\/strong>. In return, K-Ryole and its design office were evolving the product<\/strong>. Thus, an electric trailer created by and for retail and parcel delivery professionals<\/strong> was created. Now we are working on the roof rack and the reinforcement of the module.”<\/p>\n
